Step To It Academy – Terms and Conditions 2025/2026

 

Why we have these Terms & Conditions
We’ve put these guidelines in place to make sure everyone — students, families, and our school — is supported, safe, and on the same page. They help us keep classes running smoothly, ensure fairness for all, and protect the hard work our students and teachers put in each week.

 

Enrolment & Fees

  • Your child’s place is confirmed once term fees are paid.

  • Invoices are sent three times a year — Autumn, Spring, and Summer terms.

  • Fees are due in full at the start of each term unless you’ve chosen our monthly direct debit option.

  • Extras such as uniform, holiday clubs, and workshops are invoiced separately and not included in any term fees direct debit plans.

 

Payments

  • Payments must be made promptly to secure your child’s place.

  • If paying in full, and fees remain unpaid 14 days after term starts, we may suspend or cancel your child’s place until payment is received.

  • If your circumstances change and you’re struggling with payments, please contact us straight away so we can work together on a solution.

 

Refunds & Cancellations

  • Once enrolled for the term, fees are non-refundable.

  • If an injury prevents attendance, we’ll offer credit for future classes with a valid doctor’s note.

  • If Step To It Academy cancels a class, it will either be rescheduled or credited to your account.

 

Notice Period & Withdrawal

  • You can give notice to withdraw your child at any time via email. However, once Summer Show rehearsals have begun — students must remain until the performance to avoid ramifications for their classmates.

  • Dropping a class 4 weeks before the start of a new term will result in late cancellation fees.

  • Late cancellation charges (per class dropped) are:

    • 4 weeks before the new term: 10% of that class’s term fees

    • 3 weeks before the new term: 20% of that class’s term fees

    • 2 weeks before the new term: 50% of that class’s term fees

    • 1 week or less before the new term: 100% of that class’s term fees

  • Withdrawing after term begins means no refund, and any remaining direct debit payments must be completed for that term.

  • You can add classes at any time, but for the best experience we recommend starting at the beginning of a term.

 

Attendance & Conduct

  • Regular attendance helps build progress, confidence, and enjoyment.

  • Students should arrive on time and be respectful to teachers and classmates.

  • Unsafe or disruptive behaviour may result in removal from class — any refund will be at our discretion.

 

Uniform & Appearance

  • Students must wear their Step To It uniform to all classes and appropriate footwear to ensure a professional look and support safety.

 

Health & Safety

  • Please tell us about any medical conditions, allergies, or injuries — including suspected injuries or special educational needs (SEN) awaiting assessment — that could affect your child’s participation.

 

Communication

 

Illness & Absence

  • Please let us know as soon as possible if your child will be absent.

  • Make-up classes may be offered at our discretion but are not guaranteed.

 

Photography & Video

  • Occasionally, we take photos or videos during classes for promotional or educational use.

  • If you’d prefer your child not to be included, please let us know in writing.
